Reel RV Operating Instructions

For:
Reel RV 2100 Series (Water Hose Handler)
Reel RV 2300 Series (Electrical Cable/Cord Handler)

Operating the Hose/Electrical Cable Handler
1. To open the Handler simply rotate the face plate counter clockwise to disengage the spool retention lock. (fig. 1)

2. Pull the spool out evenly and completely until it hits the stops; while holding slight outward pressure on the face plate, rotate clockwise to lock the spool in the extended position as per diagram attached (see fig. 2)

3. Remove hose/electrical end from clip and unwrap only the length of hose (up to 25 or 50 feet, depending on the specific model application) that is required for connection.

4. Once the required length of hose/electrical cable is unwound, re-fasten the hose/cable to the clip to keep remainder of hose wound neatly on spool.

5. Lift the access port door (at bottom of unit) so that the spool may be closed with the hose/cable extending through the access port.

6. Close the spool by rotating the face plate counter clockwise to disengage the spool retention lock.

7. Evenly push the spool completely back into the housing while guiding the extended hose/cable through the open access port. Once completely back in the housing, rotate the face plate clockwise until the lock engages. (fig 3)

The surrounding area is kept neat and tidy by leaving the unneeded remainder of the hose/cable inside, still wound on the spool. You only need to make the connection to the water/electrical supply pedestal; the RV end of the connection through the supplied backflow valve/electrical is permanent.

Disconnecting

1. Disconnect hose/cable from water/electrical pedestal and re-cap hose with included plug. (It is not necessary to drain all water from hose. Any excess water, that may drain out after the hose handler has been closed, will only run down the outside of the RV, not the interior).

2. Repeat above steps to open the Handler Unit, rotate the face plate to lock spool in the extended position, completely re-wrap the hose/cable that was in use back onto the spool, secure the hose end by attaching the hose/cable end to the clip on the back of the face plate, close the spool and lock the face plate in the closed position and close the access port door.

Winterizing or Extended Storage for Water System

For extended storage periods or winterizing your RV you should completely drain or purge the input water hose on the Hose Handler unit.
This can be accomplished by:
1. Un-wrap the entire hose length off the spool.
2. Remove dust cap from input end of hose.
3. Un-wrapped hose must be lower than spool housing in order to drain.
4. From the inside of the RV, disconnect hose from interior back flow valve.
5. Allow hose to completely drain of all water.
6. Re-connect the hose to the back flow valve and replace dust cap on input end of hose.
7. Wrap hose completely back onto spool and clip hose in place.
8. Close and lock spool.
