Frequently Asked Questions about the Reel RV Unit:

FAQ
Q. What is the benefit of the Hose Handler over my current hose storage?

A. RV Users current hook up methods:
- The RV user has to use the ENTIRE length of hose with every use no matter how close the hookup is!
- The entire hose is lying on the ground, exposed to the elements each time the RV user hooks it up.
- The RV user has to store the dirty, wet hose in PREMIUM storage space and then the hose can get entangled with other items in their limited storage area.
- The Sidewall RV input connections stress hoses causing leaks.

RV hose handler:
- Expose only the length of hose required off of 50 available feet for use with each hookup.
- Easy operation with a clean and flush mounted appearance
- Sealed barrier between interior and exterior of RV
- Installed with a back flow valve to allow hose and housing to stay permanently fixed to the RV
- Hose permanently stored in housing - not in premium storage space.

Q. Does the unit spin?

A. No
- Costs would be significantly increased per unit.
- Maintenance due to possible leakage on water swivels increases warranty issues
- Water and Electrical swivels would significantly increase the size and weight of the unit.
- Majority of RV Park Hookups are within 10 feet of the RV which makes manual unwinding and winding quick. Only three or four wraps of the hose or cord are required while enabling longer reaches if necessary. This reduces cost and maintenance issues associated with spinning reels.

Q. What does the unit come with?

A. Units come complete with:
- Hose System: An installed 25' or 50' potable water hose and backflow valve.
- Cord System: 25', 28', 30', 33', 36' installed 30 AMP electrical input cord and plug.

Q. Does the unit take up a lot more space than the 25' or 50' hose does now?

A. No
- To store a factory wound 25' hose requires .18 cubic feet, 14" diameter x 2" deep and weighs 2.39 pounds.
- To store a 50' hose requires .31 cubic feet, 14" diameter x 3.5" deep and weighs 4.65 pounds. (To store a factory wound 50' hose)
- A Hose housing system - with the hose included is only .39 cubic feet, 11.5" diameter x 6.5" deep and weighs 5.58 lbs (25' hose) or 7.84 lbs (50' hose).

The Reel RV hose/cord handling systems are usually installed into unusable spaces within your RV (i.e. behind a sink or seat bench); therefore your hose will take up no noticeable space in your storage areas

Q. Can the unit be ordered with the hose/cord exiting from another area to accommodate other installation positions?

A. Yes, the unit can be ordered with the hose/cord exiting 180 degree from standard position or can be changed by the installer at time of installation.

Q. What is the interior intrusion space?

A. .39 cubic feet, 6.5" from interior wall to back of spool, 11.5" diameter
